AppleCare is rebranding to Optum

AppleCare will officially change our name to Optum by the beginning of June.

Over the next couple of weeks, AppleCare patients will start receiving letter notifications of the rebrand. We also included a direct line to Member Services for questions.

As a reminder, Magan Medical Clinic and Monarch Healthcare will be making the same brand transition in June; however, the notification to these patient bases will be sent at the beginning of May.

We are notifying AppleCare patients early because over the next few weeks, some internal portals and notifications will begin to feature the new brand and we will also have some in-clinic signage alerting them of the changes.

We have included in this email a copy of the patient letter in case you receive calls from your clients with questions.

Additionally, we have attached our crosswalk that will show you the pre and post-rebrand names of our group sites and IPAs, effective in early June.

As a reminder, for our patients/your clients:

  • They will keep receiving the personalized care that they deserve and expect.
  • They will still be able to see the same providers.
  • We will continue to accept their current health insurance. Our patients/your clients will not need to contact their health insurance plan. We will have taken care of that for them.

If you have any questions regarding this email or have questions that are not addressed in the FAQ, please call us or reach out to me 562.202.1927.
